Earlier this year, my wife found a LG Harmony phone (we think someone dropped it while going through our backyard ... a little unsettling). When I turned it on, it was at the Language selection screen, so I figured it wasn't set up yet. I turned it off thinking I can give it to our son. I am now planning to give it to him soon, so I decided to set it up for him.
Problem is, after I go through the setup screens (select Language, skip SIM Card (phone doesn't have one) connect to our Wi-Fi & select "Set up as new") I get a screen asking to "Verify the Google Account". So obviously, the phone WAS previously used by someone else.
My question is: Can I bypass the Google Account screen to set the phone up for my son?

How about you get your son a phone that isn't stolen?

Cryog, the Google account screen is there as an anti-theft mechanism. The only way to bypass the screen is the original owner enter their Google account information.
