Might be because phone got too hot; it feels hot. When I reboot, color returns, then goes back to B&W after several actions.

Thanks for your reply. I tried (but apparently failed) to post earlier that the problem was resolved. I must have inadvertently activated a shortcut to greyscale mode under Power Saving.

I would power it down, remove the back and the battery and let it cool off for an hour or so.
When you put it all back together go into settings>battery and see what's using the battery so much and also settings>usage and see what's being used.

Excellent. Glad you got it fixed. Does the phone not get hot then? I noticed my S5 gets warmish when I play games for too long. It can make the keyboard wig a bit.

It does get a bit hot. And it was a hot day yesterday here. But it seems that this wasn't the cause of the grayscale problem. Thanks again.
