Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic won't activate! pre-ordered thru BestBuy

I pre-ordered thru Best Buy, waited about a month with a backorder. When it finally came yesterday i tried to activate it and it couldn't.  I called Verizon and they said BestBuy "locked" the watch and i would have to go to the store and have them unlock it?  Well, I went to BestBuy and they said they have no authority to lock any phone or watch and this is a known issue with Verizon.  why is going on?  Now, I'm on hold for 45mins while they try to add the IMEI to their database?  Not happy with Verizon at all!! Unknown outcome so far.......still on permeant hold!

nope, was supposed to get a call back and didn't. What is going on?  Why can't between Verizon, BestBuy, and Samsung figure this out before they launch a new product!  I'm back on the phone holding forever to get this resolved!

Escalated ticket and promised it will be resolved within 48hrs.  Apparently Samsung didn't transmit or Verizon didn't enter the IMEI numbers in a timely fashion so I'm told.

And the customer suffers.....Someone should be fired for this because they are saying there are many like me complaining about the same issue.

"Can you here me now?........"lol

No. Still didn't work. 3 weeks and 20+ hours of phone conversations.

I'm having the exact same issue. Samsung and Best Buy tell me that Verizon has not added my IMEI to their device database, but Verizon support keeps telling me that my IMEI is incompatible and sending me to the page to enter my IMEI.

Round and round and I can't get my LTE Galaxy Watch4 activated on verizon. I would have never purchased the LTE version without asking Best Buy if it was Verizon compatible. This seems to be a very common issue. L1 support would not escalate as I requested, and I've spent 5 hours today trying to get my watch connected.

Help!

Congrats on getting your new Galaxy Watch4! It saddens us to hear that you're experiencing problems getting your Samsung Glaxy Watch4 activat ed. We've also noted that it was purchased through Best Buy.

We don't want to have you repeating troubleshooting steps that have already been completed and we'd like to help you here. Can you tell us what troubleshooting steps have already been initiated?-Robert C.

I have the same problem when I enter the IMEI for my watch it tell me it is not compatible with the Verizon network. I talked to two different customer service reps and they said there is nothing they can do? I filed a complaint with the FCC, this is the same watch that they sell on their website. How is it not compatible with the Verizon network.

Hi Logan. It is nice to meet you. I know this is the last thing you want to hear. I am a consumer myself so I know how nice it is to have a watch connected to our network. If you did not get a Verizon watch then you do have 30 days to return it and get one that is Verizon Wireless. Has it been past 30 days?

@logan456 how do you file a complaint with the FCC? I'm having the exact same issues as you and would like to be more proactive about it. They should not be able to sell a service they cannot provide to most customers.
