I just got a Samsung Galaxy J3 Eclipse. When I get a text message, I'd like to see a notification bar pop up when my phone is locked and the screen is turned off. Currently when a text message is received, I hear an alert, but nothing appears on the "black" locked screen. I have to click on the side lock button to view the notification. Why can't the screen suddenly light up and show the text message notification?
Are there any active display or notification settings that might provide that functionality?
