Will the Vivo Nex S work on Verizon's network. I was interested in purchasing the phone but I don't want to waste my money if it doesn't work on the network.

No LTE band 13 so it is NOT compatible.

It's important to know whether or not a phone will work on our network, uclarahul. I'm happy to help clarify. Vivo is not on the list of approved manufacturers. Android models from international sources/carriers (such as Vivo) are currently not approved. While Vivo isn't compatible, if you have the IMEI number of a different device and want to check compatibility, you can do that here: http://spr.ly/6580Df2x0 Does this clarify?

I'm using the global version of the nex s on verizon and i'm not having any issues, though i can't surf the net while on a phone call which i don't do anyway, something to do with not having all the bands, but other than that i'm loving it.

What did you do to get it to work? Where did you buy the phone? Thanks for giving me hope.

I bought the global version of the Vivo Nex S and installed a Verizon sim card and a T mobile sim card, and both work fine. I'm in Florida, USA. Bought the phone from Gear Best, and its the 8gb ram and 128gb storage version, and it has to be the snapdragon 845 processor.

Thanks again! If you don't mind me asking why are you using 2 sim cards?
Also do you have to make any setting adjustments with the phone out of box?

I have a work and a personal number, and I didn't have to do anything to the phone out of the box in order for the dual sims to function. I chose to install Nova Launcher instead of the Touch OS operating system that comes on the phone. That's just personal preference.

Last question: Can you side load your apps/music/photos from one Android
phone to another or do you have to install them manually using Google play
store? I currently have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus

I backed up everything on my old phone to my google account (google drive) and logged in on new phone and most, not all for some reason, of everything was there. If you get one of these phones make sure it comes with google play on it, and its not the chinese version with it installed.

Thanks so much! You have been so helpful. Have you been able to have a
Verizon signal outside of Florida?

I doubt this works well. No band 13. The phone does have CDMA over 1900 which is used in a lot of Florida( Jax, Orlando, Miami ) since they lack cellular spectrum there. Once Dec 31 2019 CDMA will be shut down. Unless this phone supports Verion VoLTE which I highly doubt it won't work.

it actually works extremely well, and as far as 2019, heck! I will have changed phones by then. Whatever it takes not to carry two phones, i got this phone before the oneplus 6T came out which if bought from Oneplus has dual nano sim and has the bands, or even the Umidigi Z2 pro. As i said whatever it takes not to carry two phones, thought new iphones had it figured out but looks like thats on hold for a while. The phone works excellent right now though.

Sorry made a mistake I did use the phone before I got the tmobile line in a small town in Michigan(Benton Harbor and Covert) and at the time I was only on verizon and it worked fine there too. I'm actually using the work line vzw as a hotspot as we speak

Well see if you can still make calls on it after Dec 31 2019. Of course you can use data it has band 2,4 and 5. Band 13 is Verizon main band is everywhere and is the strongest signal.

I doubt it, by then I'll probably have moved onto a better dual sim phone Like Oneplus that is already verizon certified. Cheers
