what the heck happened!?!? the old system was slow enough waiting for all the prompts, but at least the time stamps were at the end of the message so you could skip it.
NOW you have to listen to the time stamp and the ENTIRE NUMBER repeated that called you BEFORE you can hear your message!!

who approved this system?!!? in this day and age, people need to move through information fast and efficiently. it's killing me to sit and extra 30-45 seconds per message to get my messages!!!
this better get addressed fast or i'm taking my $550/month services to someone else.

You should be able to go into the preferences and turn off the envelope information if you don't want to listen to it first.
Personally I like hearing the envelope info first before the message.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Why in (severely make sailor blush words elided) did the old voice mail have to get completely deleted and tossed into the infinite bit bucket in the sky? Is Verizon THAT cheap and pathetic or is it your de facto near cartel status doing this?
A cardinal rule of engineering is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." You have proven this old saw rather brutally with this destructive change.

{`,'} yes, I am sticking my tongue out in anger in Verizon's general direction.

The new Voicemail system was put in place because the old hardware was starting to get too old. So, just like every other carrier, VZW updated the systems. And of course, they did it first because VZW is always first. I have not had the migration yet, still waiting and excited!

Username001, I apologize for this inconvenience you are having with the new voicemail system. We value your loyalty here with us and the last thing we want is to lose you as a customer. I know how important it is to have access to your voicemail quickly, what make & model of phone do you have? Is this happening with all your devices on your account?

yes it's all devices. it's not the phone, it's the voicemail systems that is set to default tell you date+time, what number its from and duration. i found this can be turned off - as it should be for default. Also, i was told i could have my old voicemails sent to me on a usb drive. i went to the site and filled everything out properly and to date i've still not received anything.
