lg g5 keeps saying verizon wireless

Just recently my LG G5 started saying "verizon Wireless" and keeps it up at random times.  It seems to happen when in a week signal area but just started doing it.  Very annoying and don't know how to stop it.

I have had this phone for about a year and about 3 or 4 days ago this annoying thing started happening.  For some reason I am getting announcements every time there is a change in signal strength.  Yesterday while sitting in a restaurant eating lunch this phone made the announcement "verizon Wireless" 4 times without moving from my table.  When this happens it doesn't even wake the phone from sleep mode, there is nothing on the screen or any indication of what is going on.  On several occasions there has also been announcements "out of service" and "extended network" or "loss of data".  These announcements are very annoying and is something new that was not happening before.  I have been to 2 different Verizon stores to get this resolved but they have no idea what is happening.

There has been no changes and the OS is up to date.  Today I went down a road where I know service goes in and out and the phone continually announced "verizon Wireless",  "loss of service" and "extended service"

I have traveled this route many times before this started happening and no announcements.

This is very frustrating especially when in a restaurant and the phone continuously says "verizon Wireless" every 10 or 15 minutes. ( this is without moving from our table.)

This is certainly a frustration experience to hear the repeated message on your device, Easlingn. Let's continue to work on fixing this issue to try prevent that message from being repeated as often as you mentioned. What's your zip code you were located in when this issue started? Are others in the same location having the same issue? Please share more details so we can look into a resolution.

This is happening to me, too. It's constant. We have bad cell service where I live, so this is why it keeps announcing itself. There should be a way to disable this "feature." It's extremely annoying, and as of now, the only thing I can do is mute the phone, but that mutes incoming text alerts and phone calls. Can this be disabled somehow??

Sometimes settings get changed when phones are updated; has your phone received a recent update?  The exact path may be different, but have you gone to Settings > Sound > Sound Effects > Sound When Roaming and ensured it's off?

Not only that my text repeats itself with the same text three times. Such an annoying phone I hate it I advise everybody not to buy this phone

Firedancermom1, we're sorry to read that your LG G5 is giving you all these problems. That is odd that you & others with this phone keep hearing an announcement that says "Verizon Wireless". Let's figure this out & also the problem you're having with the repeated texts. Let's start out first with the Verizon Wireless announcement. The other community member with this issue states that it happens when their signal fluctuates. When you hear this announcement go off, are you able to see if you have a Verizon Wireless signal? Do you ever have signal issues? Does this only happen when you are in one location or does it happen everywhere you go? AliciaD_VZW

LG V30 here and making the following change remove the random "Verizon Wireless" announcement:

Settings - Network and Internet - Mobile Networks

toggle Data roaming to off.

The VZW tower near us burned up recently and we have weak to no signal. Listening to music over BT and hearing "Verizon Wireless" announced randomly was annoying to say the least.

My new LG G5 is doing it all hours of the day and night. It wakes me up in the middle of the night it is so horrible this is the worst phone I've ever had. Been complaining about the phone since I got it but they told me I would get used to it that I kept it and now I can't take it back it's been so long it's a piece of junk
