My Samsung Galaxy S4's power button seems to be stuck in the "on" position. What is the best way to free it?
I am not really sure what you mean stuck in the "on" position. It's a press button so do you mean it's depressed? I wouldn't suggest trying to pry it free since you can damage the device. I would see if you are in warranty and get a warranty replacement.
There can be no damage, hardware alteration, water damage, and or unreasonable wear and tear.
Not necessarily. If you have insurance or Extended Warranty it could still be covered. As long as there is no physical or water damage it can be warranty claimed.
Manufacturer Warranty is 1 year, if he got a Certified Like New Replacement it comes with a 90 day warranty, if he has Total Mobile Protection it's covered as long as he continues to pay for the insurance.
We'd like to get this working for you. Have you attempted cleaning the device and pressing it a few times to try and jar it loose?
I have cleaned it. Removed the memory card and reinstalled it. Pressed the
power and volume buttons at the same time in order to initiate recovery.
The phone will vibrate, indicate that it needs to be charged, and go dark.
