On my Android phone the Ring volume (Call volume and Alarm volume) are all controlled separately in Settings->Sound. Media volume is also there to set, but is controlled on-the-fly by the volume up/down buttons. Makes sense to me to separate the Media out since I might want to mute that but not have the Call/Ring/Alarm levels affected.

theil120 I know that it makes sense to us both. However, we don't manufacturer the devices, and have no control of how they are made or function. DoloresK_VZW
