I recently upgraded so I decided to reset my old cell to factory settings. The old device is a Droid HD Maxx. After the restart the small android comes up with the front open and the little blue ball swirls and it says erasing. After a few moments it goes black and then followed by another smaller android robot but this time he is laying on his back with the front open and this time there is a red triangle with and exclamation. Is this fixable or is it pretty much just a fancy paper weight now?

Hello RieJL!
I'm sorry to hear that your phone won't come back on after the reset! You can try an alternate Hard reset to see if that will bring it back. http://vz.to/1qcuBYi Please keep us posted on the results!
Thank you,

The link you provided wont work for me. I cant even start up my phone to
get to the Home screen.
I am able to get to the boot menu where I have also tried removing all data
and cache. It still wont start up.

I apologize for the faulty link, RieJL. I appreciate you taking the steps that you have so far as the link was going to direct you to same boot menu. If the device will not advance past the boot screen even when accessing the boot menu then the software has become corrupt and is not retrievable. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you,
