Hi all. Battery Drain issues after 5.0 Lollipop update. Basically after light usage in an hour the battery drain 20% easily. It also charges very slowly... I cleared the cache and updated all the apps. I force stopped apps like Google+, finally hard reset.... but no luck...... It's a terrible problem... Any thoughts on fixes or patches....

Did you look at your battery usage to see what app or android service is draining the battery?
Not a single issue with my G3 update. I did a factory reset before the update and the update has been flawless.
What about after the update do I need to factory reset then?
Mine is draining fast after lollipop too.
its 2:02 pm and I only have 23% battery.
Before yesterday's update, I'd get down to 30% around midnight....
This update is buggy.
I am having all sorts of problems since my note 4 lollypop ipdatw. 100 percent battery when I went sleep at 12 am and was down to 30 percent this morning at 9Am. I loved my battery life before this. Plus my phone freezes all day long now.
I would suggest looking at your Battery Usage. It will detail which apps are taking up what percentage of your usage. Hopefully, you are familiar with how it looked before the update. I found that The Weather Channel app was using 8-10% more battery than it was before the update. I deleted it, and will wait a day or two to see if they update to fix it on their end.
I'm having the same issues as everybody else. It's been 3 days since I upgraded and did a factory reset with no battery life improvement. My usages are:
Screen 25%
Google Services 16%
Android System 12%
Android OS 10%
My 2 day battery went down to 6 hours! HELP!
Customer support is going to tell you to "suck it up for at least a week".
Because apparently 7 days is the magic number where your S5 will self-heal itself. Wave it's magic wand and everything will be right as rain. If your lucky.
