I actually didn't send anything to myself, though, until after I received
the mystery message. I'm attaching a pic to show what I mean. My messages
show what I sent and what I received. In this case it doesn't show that I
actually sent anything the first time

Oh gosh, receiving a text from yourself is quite the mystery! Don’t worry, I will make sure we get to the bottom of this. I appreciate you taking these steps to troubleshoot with us. I’m glad to hear everything is updated. What message app are you using? (The Verizon Messages+ or the default text app that came with the phone?) Have you recently subscribed or entered anything from any sort of app or game where you gave your phone number?

I use Verizon Message +, and haven't signed up for anything recently where I provided my phone number.

This is the first time I have received a message from myself, no others yet. This is the same phone I got when I switched to Verizon from Sprint, kept the same phone number. I haven't done any factory resets.

This is definitely quite a mystery. I’m happy that this has only happened once Let’s dig a bit further please. Around the time that this happened, do you recall downloading any new apps or games to your phone? When you look at the “from” in the message details, does it show your full phone number starting with the area code? If not, please describe what the “from” details show. (Please do not put your phone number on this post, as we want to protect your security.)

I feel like I have already been asked about recent apps and games, but no I have not recently downloaded any new apps or games around the time of the message. My phone is up to date with all software. No recent download of that. The phone number shows my full number.

You've created this forum to help users solve problems. This thread was taken off line and the resolution this user's problem was never published. What is the point of this forum if you don't provide solutions. I'm having the same problem as this user - having received two blank texts from myself with no action on my behalf nor history of my sending myself those texts. Can you please advise what is happening with your network please?

Sorry to see you are also having issues with the blank messages. This is a community forum for our customers to communicate with each other. There are times when Verizon representatives will also jump in if there are concerns that require our attention.
When did you receive the two messages from your number? Was it the same day?
Are you also using Verizon Messages/ Message + on your HTC Once M9? If so, please clear the cache for the Verizon Messages/Message + application

I have a Moto play z and use message+ app. This happens once every few days. It comes at random. I have deleted everything and restarted, am equipped with all updates. Honestly it's not the only problem I have with this messaging app. Someone in the tech side needs to fix all the bugs. Srsly Verizon, get it together.
