How do I disable the camera button on the side of my Kyocera Duraforce Pro phone?

I may not have been clear. There is a button on the side of my Kyocera Duraforce Pro phone. It is on the right side near the bottom. If it is pressed for more than 1 second, the camera turns on. I would like to disable that button, or at least re-assign it's function to something less obnoxious. I do not understand what " slide to unlock " has to do with it. This has to do with a button on the phone. I am not talking about an icon on the screen.
After sitting with this information for a bit, I regret that there's no setting to disable the camera key, a_geetter . As one who likes to look into every angle, one thing to make sure of is that the Programmable Key is also not set to camera. You can verify this by checking Settings > Programmable key > Programmable key.

There isn't any current setting option to disable/change the camera button functionality
