Can't add/update nickname to phone numbers on Verizon website

This has been going on for a while now.  When I go to the Verizone website and want to add a nickname to a phone number I have called, it doesn't do it. Anyone know what the problem is?

Well today, I'm happy to report that I am now able to add/update a nickname to a phone number on my call log. Thank you for whatever it is you did - you fixed it! Hopefully, it stays fixed. Smiley Happy

Thanks for replying. I would recommend deleting any saved browser cookies and and retest.

If I got rid of cookies, wouldn’t I lose all the nicknames I already have?

Thank you for reaching back out,  Katsat88. We can help out with this! Clearing your cookies helps out locally with your PC. Your nicknames will not be affected by clearing that out. No worries!

I tried this and it didn’t make any difference whatsoever. I restarted my computer and no difference.

I can’t add any nicknames on my computer, my iPhone, and my iPad.

I was able to a few days ago, but again, it’s back to not working. Very frustrating.

I've been having same issues for quite some time - maybe November it stopped working.  It really seems to be a fix that needs to be done by Verizon on their website.

I have the same problem - cannot add a nickname when using the Verizon Website.  I haven't been able to do so in quite some time.  In the past I would view my usage and click on the phone number and was able to enter a Nickname.  The website acts as if it's going thru the motions to add; however, the number still appears and no nickname is saved.

This is a very helpful tool and it's very frustrating that it no longer works.  It's not the cookies nor our specific computers as I've also cleared cookies, used different browsers, and different computers.  It appears to be a problem on the Verizon website.

I'm having the same problem like the rest. Adding a nickname used to work months ago. Now, it brings up the "Add/Update Nick Name" popup like it should . But any text typed in the "Nick Name" field then hitting the "Add/Update" button is ignored. The text entered makes no difference. The box just stays there until "Cancel" is selected. The message "From" field is not updated. Using IE or Firefox, clearing cache or cookies, makes no difference.

Is Verizon ever going to address this?! Having nicknames instead of numbers is a nice feature when it's working.

it seems to happen when adding a nickname to a business, perhaps it's on the business end preventing the nickname.

I too have been having this problem off & on for quite some time now.  I thought they had fixed it because I was able to do it for a few weeks...now I can't again!  I would think that one of Verizon's techs would be able to fix this bug...& fix it permanently!

Can't do this either, used to be able to and it was extremely helpful.  Tried all the suggestions in here, different browsers, and computers.

Is this something they are looking at?
