Cell phone number will not transfer to new cell phone, now neither one will work.

Hello, I'm having trouble transferring my phone number to the iPhone 13. When I tried to transfer, it said that the number could not transfer. My phone number is also not working on my previous phone. (iPhone 8 plus). When I text from the iPhone 13, the people receiving my texts say that I'm texting from my email account. I'm also not able to use my cellular data on the iPhone 13 or the 8 Plus. Everything else has transferred smoothly to the iPhone 13 Pro Max except my number. I've tried to activate it through the Verizon app, but it's not working with the IMEI or IMEI2. With the IMEI, it says that I'm choosing the IMEI that has already been selected. Meanwhile, with IMEI2, it says that the device is locked and that I should contact my previous carrier. I don't have a previous career. My iPhone 13 carrier is Verizon.
