Changing notification sound for receiving a text message.

How do I make a transfer over to a new sound for my notification of new text message.  I've downloaded the new message but I can't get it transfer as a new sound.

You mentioned a new download. Did you download and save a new notification sound to your phone? What model phone are you using?

you can change the notification sound in settings/sounds/notifications/messages.
