I cannot get my contacts to appear in Message+ on my Ellipsis 8. I have the tablet integrated with my smart phone for messaging. The Contacts from my smartphone do appear in the "People" app on the ellipsis, so they are coming across. But when I open the Contacts tab in Message+ the screen says "Nothing Yet!" "When you send or receive Contacts, they will appear here." I not sure what that means. How do I send or receive my Contacts for this app?

What you are seeing is a list of SHARED contact information, and if you haven't shared any contact information with anyone, there will be nothing there. That isn't your contact list.... to see your contact list, create a new message (the red circle with a white pencil in the bottom right corner) and click the black and white person icon top right corner....your contacts will be there.

Thanks for checking all those steps, Ragan2. The contacts in Message sync up with the contacts in Backup Assistant/Verizon Cloud. If your contacts synced to your tablet through Gmail instead, the Message app may not see the details. Try logging into your number at www.vzw.com/cloud. Do you see your contacts there? What model phone do you use that houses all your contacts?

When I sign into the cloud with my smart phone number, all of the contacts appear. I am using a Samsung S4 smart phone. Also, when I send a message in the ellipsis, the contacts will complete the entry in the to: field. So it seems the message+ app can see the contacts. They just are not populating the contacts tab in the application.

Ragan2,
Thank you so much for those details. If you go into Message on the tablet. Please tap on the three lines in the upper left hand corner. Then tap on Sync. Are you able to re-sync the tablet? Once that is done, then head back into the contact list to see if those contacts has been placed in the tablet. Keep us posted.

I just resynced the tablet by tapping the three lines in the upper left corner and selecting sync under the advanced category. The tablet seemed to sync. It showed data being uploaded and downloaded under the 4g LTE symbol. But the contacts tab still shows "Nothing yet".
Thank you for your help.

Ragan2, Thank you for providing such details. I'm confident we'll figure this out, together. Can you please confirm what you mean by the contacts not showing within the application? Are you speaking of the Contacts application on the Ellipsis Tablet, itself or within the Verizon Message application?

Thank you for your reply and help. By Contacts, I mean the contacts tab within the Message app.

It's pretty bad that the support just sort of gave up on this. I'm having the same problem with the web and desktop apps, so any insight into what I can do to fix this would have been nice.

I don’t see any button like that. I got a notification saying that contacts are being refused and to fix it in settings, but I don’t see anywhere in settings to turn that back on.
