Continually lose LTE signal at the same home location

I own a Nexus 6P and previously owned Galaxy Nexus. Starting around a year ago, my Galaxy Nexus started having trouble reliably keeping a LTE signal. I thought it was the phone and bought a 6P. I still have the same problem. Nothing helps.

I live on the southern coast of Maine where Verizon has claimed for years to provide dependable LTE coverage and it was true for me until a year ago.  I reboot, go in to and out of airplane mode, and other supposed tricks. I am on the grandfathered unlimited data plan and feel like I am being singled out, a practice which Verizon supposedly stopped. Is there another explanation?

Did you get a new SIM card with the Nexus 6P?  What network mode setting do you use?

Hi...I have two homes. I get a good signal in the 01886 and adjacent 03063

areas.

I have trouble in the 04043 zip. I live right on the coast. The land is

flat with few trees. I used to get a very good signal here. Yesterday, I

downloaded an app which has so far made a big improvement. It's called

Connection Stabilizer Booster.

Thanks,

Larry

you can buy a signal booster from verizon.

my son has to do it in an area that verizon claims is 4g lte on the area coverage map.

Unfortunately Verizon can't guarantee reception inside of buildings. Even if it did work well at one time, not much you can do. As suggested by others you will need some type of booster to strengthen the signal when inside. I saw this one when looking around & it supports all domestic carriers, including LTE.

I know this is an old thread but I've been having this problem and lately it's really been making me angry. I too am on the grandfathered unlimited data plan and I know for a fact that they are giving us these connectivity issues on purpose! I had my Nexus 6p for a while and never had connectivity issues. Then Verizon ended up putting a new cell tower right across the street from my house. My speeds shot up to about 95 mbps download and 55 upload. At the same time, my dad decided to get rid of the home Wi-Fi. My Nexus 6p became the homes Wi-Fi. Since the speeds were so good, I was able to run the house from my phone and even play Xbox off of it. That worked great for about 3 months and then my speeds started getting slower and slower which you can see with all my speed test.net tests. Now, I'm constantly having issues where my service will completely cut out and alternate from "no service" to "emergency calls only" and it ONLY happens when I'm at my house using this specific tower. 90% of the time I am unable to make or receive calls if I'm anywhere near the tower by my house. The second I'm far enough away and I'm on the next tower, BOOM my phone works again. I've called Verizon out on this several times and even reported them to the BBB but nothing has been done

I have the old unlimited data plan and I'm not experiencing any connection issues.
