I just purchased a brand new Galaxy J7 V from the Verizon store. It appears that there is already a screen protector on the phone. Is this just for shipping protection and supposed to be removed by the user when unwrapping the phone? Or is this actually a real screen protector?
I'm confused because I find it strange that there would be one on there already (almost like they sold me a used phone that someone installed a screen protector on and returned).
Let me know if I need to leave this as is, or if this is supposed to be pealed off. Thanks in advance.

The piece that is on the phone when it ships is meant to be removed. Generally speaking you will see it covers the earpiece. Every smartphone I've seen (in recent memory) has a screen protector on it out of the box. This is placed on during the manufacturing/packaging.
Hope this helps!

It usually also has some writing on it that gets in the way of enjoying the screen itself.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
