I have an attachment download from an email message that has been going for about 4 hours. It shows up in my dropdown menu. It doesn't show up in task manager and the message has been deleted from my Gmail account. This download will not stop though. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy. Anyone know how to make this thing behave?

I have tried turning off the phone and removing the battery. Nothing works.

Can you cancel it from the notification line? Or dismiss it?
Also which model of phone do you have? There are several phones on Verizon Wireless that have "Samsung Galaxy" with their model name.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

It's a "Stellar" model. I haven't found any place to cancel it.

Anyone else know anything? This is really annoying. I drag the dropdown menu and it shows to be saving attachments to a gmail message that has been deleted. There is no "clear" button and it doesn't show up in any of the tabs on the task manager.

I absolutely do not want to do it. I want a product that is not defective and will not give me this unnecessary grief. I read up on how it is done and for what I pay monthly verizon should bring me a new phone immediately, delivered to my workplace.
Thanks but I'm gonna pass. I'll go to the store and chew them out for it later.
