I have a Droid Razr Maxx (Andriod 4.1.2). I just installed an Alpine CDE-143BT CD Receiver in my car. The Bluetooth phone features work fine. I can stream music from my wife's Galaxy Note II without a problem, but I can't stream music from my phone. Help!
Thanks in advance!!

John,
That's a great question to help figure this out! According to the specs of the Razr Max phone, it does support Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP-Sterio) and Audio/Visual Remote Control (AVRCP), but we have no further information on the specific version of this. Please reach out to Motorola here http://bit.ly/VdHZzq for assistance with this information.

jgvergo,
Awesome buy on the Alpine receiver in your car! Does your Droid Razr Maxx connect properly with other bluetooth devices? Are you completing these steps when connecting the bluetooth? http://vz.to/1paZLiO
It may end up being a compatibility issue between the Alpine unit and the Motorola phone. However, we are definetly here for assistance if you still need any!

Trevor,
I am 100% confident that the phone and the radio are paired and that they are "connected" (I can see the status of the bluetooth connection in settings of the phone). If the phone receives a call, I can hear the audio over the car stereo system and the microphone from the stereo system works fine. It's just streaming audio that is a problem.

jgvergo,
Thanks for the response and the information. Sounds like the Motorola device and the Alpine unit are connecting properly then. It may be a software issue at this point. I would suggest powering the phone into safe mode to make sure nothing on the device's software is interferring.
Here are the instructions; http://vz.to/1m9ArqO .
Let us know how it goes!

Hi Trevor,
Booting into Safe Mode had no effect.

Thank you for trying that step, jgvergo. Have you attempted to delete the pairing and re-pair your phone? If not, please try deleting the pairing, powering your phone off and on, and then re-create the pairing.

Andreas/Trevor (and anyone else who may be listening
I repaired and rebooted as you suggested, but the problem persists. I can
reliably and repeatedly play music to my bluetooth soundbar on my TV from
my phone, so I think the phone is working fine. I can reliably and
repeatedly play music on my car radio from my wife's phone, so I think the
car radio is fine. My conclusion is that it is an incompatibility between
the phone and the radio. What can you tell me about that?

Can you tell me whether the phone supports the A2DP and/or AVRCP bluetooth
profiles? If so, which versions?
Thanks,
John

Trevor, I should have also added that I can stream music to other bluetooth devices from my phone without a problem.
