I preordered the Galaxy S4 back in April. I was told last week it was shipping the 23rd...called today, hasn't shipped yet. Now I hear I can get it in the store. Is this for real??? Has anyone received a preorder yet?
Did not preorder, but their original delivery date was 5/30, which was changed to 5/23 about a week ago. They had them in the stores on that date, and I got one from the store on that date.
I did not pre-order either. I got mine from another store on Thursday afternoon. I gave my brother (who is on my Verizon account) my previous phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) today.

Actually, I used his upgrade to get the Galaxy S4 for myself, so I actually owed him the option of using my old phone as an upgrade for himself. The phone that he had prior was the Samsung Omnia 2, which he also received from me.
I still say he is very lucky to get an S3 for $0.00. I have been pricing some S3 32gb on ebay as I was going to get the S4 32gb but now it does not look like it is going to happen on VZW and at&t just don't work for me at my house. I live in a somewhat rural area of NM but get 4G/LTE w/VZW. I want a backup phone and I don't do upgrades subsidized through VZW. I usually buy off ebay and others. I can't use anything but 32 gb. 16gb is just worthless to me. Hope your brother enjoys his S3. I know I sure like mine especially now that Samsung has the 3000mAH battery now and it last me 24 hours with heavy usage.

I also pre-ordered, but in a local Verizon Wireless store, on April 16. Got a ship notice May 18 and a call that it was in on May 22. Maybe they're favoring getting these in the stores over individuals' mailboxes. Definitely sympathize with you - raw deal!
I pre-ordered and received mine on May 21, which was 9 days earlier that expected. It is frustrating when things don't arrive as expected. Hopefully, it will arrive soon.
