Is there any way to uninstall a update on your phone? I have the Droid eris and I updated it and lost all my contacts, is there any way I can uninstall it or restore my contacts?

Were your contacts not synced with gmail? There is a way to go back to the old s/w but that shouldn't be a problem. Software updates are supposed to be a fix. But before you do anything like that you should contact verizon tech support. With these phones you can do more harm than good trying Advanced troubleshooting on your own.

I would try posting this on the Android board. They will be able to help you there.

To get your contacts back on your Eris
1) on the home screen tap the menu key and choose settings
2) tap accounts and sync
3) tap your gmail account
4) tap sync now (if sync now isn't an option, press the menu key again and it will be)
It may take a few minutes, but should restore your contacts

If this doesn't work try this out:
1. battery pull
2. re-sync with gmail
if the above don't work it is hard reset time
