Before you do the hard reset, be aware that it may be a Verizon system issue, if it's your mail that's giving you trouble (which it seems to be with other posters in this thread). Try setting your email up under 'Other' or use an app from the Play Store. A soft reset may be all that's needed as well:

Good deal ... there are several threads the past week or so talking about e-mail sync issues across several phones/e-mail services (primarily AOL and Yahoo). Yahoo has always been squirrelly and is often best set up as an IMAP account or by using the Yahoo Mail app from the Play Store.

I just hate to do the hard reset & lose everything. Start from scratch again- ugggh! I haven't done it just yet. My email is fine- it was messed up a couple days ago, but ok now. It's just this error code.
