Has anyone been able to get data and voice working simultaneously on the Nexus 5x?

I have tried working with Verizon Support and Google Support and can't seem to get the data and voice to work simultaneously on the NExus 5x. Just to be clear when I am on a voice call, I am unable to access the Internet via web browser or retrieve new emails.
