Help with old .qcp files

I have old files saved on sd cards that I need to listen to, they are .qcp files.  I have downloaded and tried many converters and players over the past 2 days with no luck.   I get file errors when trying to convert to a .wav.  Does anybody have any information that can help???  Frustrating as these files are needed for legal purposes!!

Have you tried the option available on this site? QCP File - What is it and how do I open it?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Thank you,  yes I have tried all of those and none of them work.  I did notice that voicemail's on my old razr are .qcp, so I moved one into saved voicemail and then tried to open it and it still says it does not recognize it.

CHELLEFMT3,

We can relate to how important messages can be. Let's take a few steps back. What type of device are you using to read the files? What happens when you attempt to read from a computer?

I currently have a galaxy s5 which I have tried, I tried my old phone (razr and then the one that I believe they came from which is an env (vx9100).  My s5 can't open and neither can my razr or env.  The env doesn't even register that I've tried.  Them on my computer I have tried every recommended program to either open or convert it to a .wav.  can not find anything that will open or convert purevoice files...

I'm going to step a little outside the Verizon Wireless Tech handbook here,  CHELLEFMT3 . You mentioned you've tried a few different apps on your computer, so I don't know if it's been tried.

I recommend VLC media player to try playing these type of files.  I hope this "shot in the dark" is beneficial.

David,  That was the first app/program I tried.  I was so hopeful that it would work.  Qualcomm used to have a program available that would play their .qcp files on a computer, but for some reason it is unavailable now. (It was called purevoice player)  I was hoping as it was a verizon phone, that maybe - just maybe somebody here would have a miracle solution....  still hoping that happens.  I have tried the following (off the top of my head), switch, vlc and realplayer.  There are actally many more that I have tried.  I googled and tried every viable suggestion, but they were all from 1998 & 1999.

Do you recall what model phone the .qcp files were originally created on?

It has to be my vx9100, I think it was called env,  it looked like a regular dial cell then opened to a keyboard.  It won't open them either.
