So, 5.1 for the LG G3 on AT&T was released today. Let's hope Verizon pays attention to what happens here before releasing to Vzw customers. Obviously, the G2 is next and will carry many similarities to the G3. Hopefully, not another Samsung S5 debacle.

It's actually 5.0.1, not 5.1. Apparently they fixed a lot of bugs from 5.0 to 5.0.1, but there are still some issues. The latest version is 5.0.2, but it's only on the Nexus 7.
I think it was wise to not roll out 5.0 and instead wait for at least one update to patch the bugs that always come with the initial release of a major upgrade like this. Plus LG had to put their skin over it- apparently it doesn't look much like 5.0 on Google devices.
Though I suspect Verizon will be releasing it soon now that AT&T has it in the US. But probably not a lot of hurry in releasing it for the G2 since it is an older device.

G2 should be by end of March. So, given the G2's status, it WILL get it, and probably not too far off given it was released in India last month along with Poland and the UK.

If it turns out to be a debacle with the LG G3. I'll hold VZW responsible. Why? Because VZW has been lying all along about their doing "extensive testing".
