I exported the contacts from my previous Verizon phone to the cloud (to my verizon backup account). I was expecting to be able to import them easily. I set up a Gmail account, and now my contacts are all my Gmail contacts. I dont want my Gmail contacts on my phone. I only want the contact list that I had already exported. I thought this would be a simple process.
BTW--is there a way to delete all current contacts from my contacts list? Id like to delete all my Gmail contacts--not from my Gmail account, but just clean them out of my cell phones contacts.

Your efforts are greatly appreciated and I apologize for the inconvenience! Let's figure this out. Which device do you have? Please clarify, are you looking to use Verizon Cloud, Backup Assistant or backup your contacts via your GMail account? Have you adjusted you GMail account settings to not sync your contacts?
