I Am currently in Nassau and can not get any service with my existing SIM card.  How do I get my Android & current SIM card to work in Nassau?

If you are a Verizon Wireless customer, make sure your Android phone is set to global mode. Go to Settings > More Networks > Network Mode and make sure it's set to Global. This allows the phone to pick the best network available for use, since not all countries have CDMA carriers (what Verizon operates on).
