Hello everybody-
I've been all over the internet including this forum looking for a solution to this issue. My bluetooth headset-Plantronics Voyager Legend-randomly disconnects during the middle of a call. I'm 99% certain the problem is in the phone and not the headset. I use the headset with my other phone-HTC EVO, not once has the Bluetooth disconnected. I used to use the headset with a Bionic- never had a problem with that. I have paired it with a couple friends phones and it's never disconnected. It happens nearly every other call on the Razr HD. I have seen where other folks have uninstalled an app called Viber and cleared up the issue. I have never had Viber, the closest thing I had was Skype. I uninstalled that- still had the disconnect issue, same frequency of incidents. Are there any other apps out there that might be causing this. It's REALLY annoying- especially when people think you hung up on them. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

bryanh1968, thanks for this information. The software update can sometimes conflict with other 3rd party applications downloaded to the device. First, we recommend that you uninstall a few apps to see if this resolves the bluetooth connectivity issue. The last resort would be to hard reset that device. Here's the steps on how to reset the phone: http://vz.to/P4iOxe

Hello bryanh1968,
Having a consistent reliable connection on your bluetooth headset is important! No one likes dropped calls! What software and Android version do you have currently installed on the phone? Do you by chance have another device that has bluetooth that you can connect to your Razr HD? We want to test if the connection disconnects with other devices connected to your phone. Also, unpair the devices and reboot the phone to see if there is a change. Keep us posted!

I tried the things you suggested, still disconnects. I don't have any other Bluetooth devices to test. I have noticed that the problem seems to happen more consistently when I have the mobile hotspot activated, however.

I have the same ear piece and my ear piece started disconnecting from my SG S4 I used my wife's Plantronics (not voyager) and it did not disconnect from my SG-S4. I went to Plantronics web site and updated the firmware and started using it again with my phone and it does not disconnect from the SG-S4. I hope this works for you as well as it did for me. If you have updated your ear piece to the latest firmware then it may be your phone? Good Luck

That was a good suggestion, and I did successfully update the earpiece firmware, but I'm still having the same problem.

Have you tried starting your phone up in safe mode or a reset of your phone to factory? I would imagine VZW will do this before they replace your phone if your phone is less than 1 year old. If your phone is more than 1 year old you will have to deal with the insurance if you have that (Asuron is the one you pay VZW a fee each month). The reason I say a factory reset or use safe mode is to make sure there are no other apps on your phone which could be interfering with the BT operation. If you still have a problem then I would say it is the phone. Good Luck
