How do I unlock my device without resetting it?

My daughter put a pass code on her phone and has two attempts left before factory delete. What do i do to avoid this

donyalchuculate​ I know this is definitely not a good experience first hand.  A Factory Reset is last resort, however you can also use the Android Device Manager to help gain access back into your phone as long as there is a Gmail registered on the phone.
