I have an LG Optimus Exceed. When I receive an MMS or group text it will not download it. How do I get it to download these?
You need the cellular data connection turned on and active to download the MMS and group messages.

I have an S6 and I had a similar issue that you are having too. I can get single texts, but when it comes to MMS, it just fails to download. I tried this earlier and it has been working for me. In Settings, go turn your mobile data off. Then, go into Mobile Networks and find the network mode. Mine was in "Global" before and I changed it to "LTE/CDMA." From there on, go back and turn your mobile data on, then restart the phone. After all this mine has been working since. Your might be a bit different, but this is the gist of it. Hope this helps!~
