My phone, when ON does not recognize my charder. If I turn OFF the phone, it starts charging. If I trn the phone ON, it keeps charging. Bit if I unplug the charger, it stops charging (as expected) but will not start charging again if I plug the charger back in. WHat is the cause of this?

ROBLAN92,
We understand how difficult it can be to have to work so hard to make your phone charge. Let's get a few details. What make and model phone are you using? Did anything change on the device, like any updates or even damage to the device? What happens if you try different chargers?

A droid three.//// Do you have the pin outs and the phone actuation sequence? Verizon seems to think it is hardware, as if a pin is bent (but I do not see any hardware issue) . I think it is hardware.

My phone did the same exact thing. I started by purchasing a wireless charger. That will work only to buy you a little extra time. I eventually had to use my insurance and get another phone replacement. I owned a Note and that's exactly what thet replaced it with.
It was mailed to my home
I updated my cloud, then took the SIM card out of the old, then placed it in the new phone. All of my information was transferred to the new phone. You can do all of that at home.
Then before I sent back the old phone, I went into a Verizon store so that I could receive a new SIM card for my new phone.
I took in the box and papers that came inside.
Make sure you take in both the box and the papers that came inside.
They need a number off of the box to complete everything.
I hope this was helpful to you.
I kept waiting and putting off going into Verizon to start this process.
It's all a big pain to start over again with a different phone. But you have so much of your back up info from cloud.
It's just a matter of time
getting things on your phone to back like they were.
I had a wonderful experience with completely the process.
It's just something that you must take care of.
Learn from me... Go ahead and get it done sooner rather than later.
