Is My LG V50 Android Phone New or Refurbished

I recently bought an LG V50 phone listed as "New Unlocked". The box was not sealed & when I asked the seller, he said that the box was opened to unlock the phone. I'm a skeptic so just want to determine if there is a way for me to verify:  was this phone previously activated?
