Issues with calls. Calls are echoing for people on other side of the phone calls. They are hearing themselves as they speak. Is there a fix for this?

Buitri3-
Thank you for that piece of information. If you turn off speakerphone is audio working fine? Do you have a case on your phone?

Yes that is correct. If i turn off the speakerphone the audio on the receiving side is working fine; they cannot hear any echos of themselves. I do not have a case on the phone.

buitri3,
We want you to be able to enjoy using speakerphone without an echo. Have you always had this issue with speakerphone? If not, did anything change around the time this issue started?

I was made aware of this echo in the beginning when I got my phone, but I was skeptical it was my phone until more people complained whenever I went on speakerphone. So that's why I ask the question here. I was hoping the lollipop update would have fixed it, but it hasn't. And I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software issue now.
Thanks,
Tri

That sounds like an issue with their phone. Are they telling you that it only happens when they call you on speakerphone? On occasion my phone does that; I can hear myself speaking, so I hang up and call back and it usually clears.

Not their phone. Their phone works fine with all other phones, samsung, iPhone, etc except when they call me and I have my lg g3 on speakerphone.

I know it sounds unrelated but, have you disabled "OK Google Search from any screen" in the Google App settings? Most report that as solving the echo problems.

I just checked my wife's phone and mine. Both our phones now have that feature off. I'll check for the echo. Curiously, we only got the echo in certain areas.

I had a few LG G3 customers with echo one way or the other on calls, be it ear or speaker. They report this either helped or alleviated the problem.

I turned off that feature, still no good. They can still hear their echos when my phone is in speakerphone. Non speakerphone calls have no issue.

Sounds like the noise-cancelling mic isn't working correctly MAYBE. You can try a few voice recordings and cover up the top pic and the bottom mic and test that theory.

Herectic1989,
Thank you for the update. Let's check into this echo. What exact zipcodes are you in when you receive this echo? Are you usually indoors or out in the problem areas when you hear the echo? Have you received an echo in these areas before with any of your previous devices?

Echo can be heard by the other party of themselves both when I was indoor and outdoor, so it didn't seem like location specific. I'm in the San Jose, CA. It doesn't matter the time of day either.

And I've never had this issue in my previous phones. I have a family plan, and no one else is having this issue, but they also do not have this phone; they use iPhone and Samsung.

I'll be in area code 10460. The caller or person i call will be in either area code 10473 or 10459 when it happens. I'm usually indoors and the caller or called person will be outdoors. I've never had an echo before on my phone (G3) until recently
I never ever got an echo on my previous phone the Inc 4G.
And i have HD Voice activated.

Thanks for replying Heretic1989
We know how important it is to have a clear voice. Let's look into this ASAP! Is your device in a case? Please power down remove and reinsert the Sim card. Did that resolve the issue? Any physical or liquid damage?

My phone is in an OtterBox Symmetry Series for LG G3, which i bought from VZW, and there hasn't been any physical or liquid damage.
I'll check the Sim card later.

I tried removing the Sim card. Unfortunately it isn't as easy to remove the Sim card as it is inserting it.
I refuse to damage my Sim card and/or phone by forcing it out.
