LG Exalt and Samsung Convoy won't let me toggle off Automatic Date and Time setting

Have an old LG Exalt with the same problem and also an old Samsung Convoy that won't let me toggle off the Automatic Date and Time setting. Would like to use these obsolete phones as travel alarms. Was wondering if Verizon intentionally disabled the manual time and date set function and if so how to enable same.

Hey there, Exigius. We understand wanting to manage your device settings, and adjust your clock as needed. As the LG Exalt is a 10-year-old device, we may be dealing with some retired features. What happens when you reboot the device and try again? Do you recall being able to adjust the automatic date and time setting before? Has a device reset been attempted?

There was no need to  adjust the automatic date and time setting before when my 3G  phones were hooked up to the network.  And a device reset or reboot has no effect on my missing LG Exalt date and time option nor my Samsung Convoy frozen automatic date and time setting.

Thank you for the details, Exigius. In this case, it seems to me that we're dealing with an outdated device that is no longer supported or able to receive necessary system updates. I know you mentioned that you would like to use these devices as travel alarms. Do you have a newer device that you use for your regular day-to-day? If so, have you considered using the alarm on your newer device instead?

Follow Up:

Contacted LG and was told there was no manual time option setting for my Exalt. Additionally contacted Samsung and after several attempts including a factory reset, my Convoy still does not permit the auto time setting to be toggled off.

Sad that these 3G flip phone were programmed in this manner; they would have made nice recycled travel alarms.
