Anyone else having issues with recent LG G3 update? Since allowing this recent update just days ago, my phone has begun sporadic vibrations. Also getting notifications that charging is slow and indicates i need to use previous charger.

There is no damage to the device. I am unable to see what software is currently installed, as the phone can't turn on. It is the latest update available, so whichever that one is.
I went to a Verizon store and was told that the phone needed to be replaced. They did a warranty replacement for me, but I am also being charged to do so. Not something I feel is right given the reason for the replacement being a system update from Verizon.

SFITZ007,
Your LG G3 should be performing better for you since the update, not worse. Let's work together to see what's being this behavior you're seeing. To confirm, what software version is installed in your phone? How soon after the update did you start having these issues?

My system update was on March 6th for my LG G3 to software version VS9854BA. I noticed changed immediately. They started small like my speech to text would either turn itself off over and over, or when it would pick up it would duplicate the first few works a thousand times. Now the thing barely works. If I turn anything on like blue tooth, internet or GPS my screen turns bright blue like a computer crash and turns off. It then gets stuck on a restart loop about 5 times before it actually stays on. This is a brand new battery and a full 100% charge and even when its plugged in.

Thanks for offering these helpful details. We will get to the bottom of this. I would suggest updating all of your applications via the Play Store and test the function. Then restart the device in Safe Mode https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-112843/ to see if the performance improves without 3rd party apps running.

I am having the same issue after doing the software update. I get stuck on the loop of the phone trying to boot and failing. I then have to remove the battery to try to boot again. This has been happening for a couple days. Typically, I'm able to get the phone to finally boot, but today I can't even do that. I've tried starting in Safe Mode, and it still won't turn on.

Our goal is to get your phone working better, especially after an update Chrispy2017. This is not the experience we want you to have with this awesome phone. Any damage to the device? What software do you have currently on the device?

I can sense the frustration that this issue has caused you and the need to get the phone replaced, Chrispy2017. Let me continue to assist you with your device. It's nice knowing the device had no damage. However, what exact reason were you given on why you were being charged for the warranty replacement? Did the device have any moisture issues?

There were no moisture issues, and the device was working perfectly prior to this update. I was not given a reason other than this update was "optional", so it wasn't covered. Though I would argue that this is not an optional update as you can't decline it, you can only postpone it until the next day.
I was only given the option to do the replacement, or use my upgrade to get a different phone.

After the update, my g3 went to a black screen and white banner that said com.android had stopped working. Also nfc, phone and other pop ups appeared. I had to do a factory reset and now my w/o go speed is slow as a turtle.

My phone is nowhere near functional now, it freezes when you attempt to use it at all and then crashes to a blue screen and normally takes like 5 restarts to get it to turn on. Now I'm lucky if I get it to turn on, I have to wait like 4 or 5 hours between attempts. I've already purchased a phone but turns out the OnePlus does not work on Verizon so now I'm phoneless.

Having a reliable working phone is a must, Kathobson. I too would be concerned if I had a phone that kept crashing. Let’s get this fixed. When did this issue start happening? Was there any changes prior to this issue? Do you get any error messages before the phone crashes?

I'll put this in here again: Updated on March 6th to software version VS9854BA. Effects were immediate starting with freezing and crashing if I turned any tools on (wifi, Bluetooth, location) now I'm lucky if it stays on. When it turns off there is no error, it simply freezes turns blue (like the old fashioned computer crash) and turns off. Haven't been able to get it to stay on for more than a few minutes now. I made no changes to my phone before or after the update.
I've already purchased a new phone and will be leaving Verizon. I have been with you for 20 years and have never been to anyone else. This is completely ridiculous that I can have a phone that works perfectly for years with no issues and an "update" is released that does nothing but crash the phone. If anything can be done to at all remedy this situation having a credit to my account is probably all that can be done at this point.

My biggest remaining issue from the update on 3/1 is that I can't use Wi-Fi anywhere.
Is there an updated patch I could have?
Some issues reported above by others resolved when I shutdown, removed battery, put the battery back in, restarted the phone.
I'm still without my wallpaper and I'll need to reinstall my preferred keyboard, I had to manually re-add and update several things.
It drains battery really quickly compared Rio what it used to do before the update.
I can't get Wi-Fi to work and I ended up having to purchase extra data last month because I didn't have time to go to the Verizon store to see if they could help.
LgG3, updated 3/1 VS9854BA
Please let me know what can be done.

PEZAVE, we want to make sure you are able to use Wi-Fi. Have you tried resetting your network settings? Here is a link on how to do that, https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-202720/. Are you having any other issues with your services (Calling, text messaging, or data)?

We understand how important is it to have a working device. You are unable to back an update. However, you can back up your device and perform a factory reset. This is a great way to fix your device if you have issues with an update.

Thank you, ShawnteeJ. Turns out the charging issue had to do with the fact that the phone was not charging. (Duh . . lol) After some examination, I determined the issue was with the cable connector which connects with the phone. It was not making a good connection with the phone, and thus charging was not occurring. I changed the charger cable, and phone is now charging and functioning well.
Thank you very much for your response.
