I put my sims card in after verizon registered it and it says insert sims card like its not reading it we tried 2 new sims cards

Have there been any recent updates to the device prior to this issue? Has the device been used previously with Verizon Wireless service?

It's a LG Intuition by Verizon. It was previously used and no I still can't use it.
