Will the unlocked version of the V20 9US996) be able to use WiFi calling on Verizon?

It will not work. Wi-Fi calling is a software integration that is specific to the carrier. So only the Verizon version of this phone, and any phone made specifically for Verizon for that matter, will have Wi-Fi calling integrated in the software of the phone.
