Is anyone having trouble around the Baton Rouge Area receiving any messages. None of my text message go through unless I restart my phone. And that's with every message app. It can't be the phone or the message apps. I have used 3 different ones.Something just ain't right. I got verizon to reset me on their end and I reset everything on my end. And still nothing. Can't even send my own self a text message. This is sad man.

Same issue. Started at some point on 12/8. If I restart the phone I get one text message. Repeat. One message.

I'm sorry to learn that you are having some text messaging issues, ficklerx. I see that other customers with similar issues after the latest manufacturers' software update have resolved the issue by doing a factory reset. Please follow the steps at this link (https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-218085/) and let us know if the issue continues after the reset. This works because a factory reset will clear any potential conflicts between the previous software and the new software.

I have same issue in Oklahoma. Verizon says they are aware and working on it. Its across all LG they state. I can send mms but can't send or receive sms. Have exhausted all troubleshooting recommended. Mine started about 12/8/20 at 0900 and a second phone started at 12/8/20 about 1300, just shortly after an update for both phones. Its on their end.

Thanks for the update. I have also confirmed the same issue on another LG G7 on my plan. I guess we wait.

ficklerx, we ceratinly want you to have no troubles with messaging on the phone. Can you look and uninstall the Carrier Services update in the Play Store? If you are unable to uninstall please reboot the phone and try messaging and keep us posted on how that goes.

I see I was not the only one. They must have fixed it because I hard reset my phone back to original thinking it was something I did. But now I see it was verizon. And whatever update they did on 12-8-20 was definitely the problem if everyone is having the same issue. I don't have the problem any more as of today and my service and signal is even better now. I love my LG G7 thinq. This phone is still better than most new phones coming out today. I hope the give us Android 10 soon that would make me not have to get another phone for at least another year. I hope everyone phone is working as of today mine is. Take care.

erroljr, we are concerned to hear you are having issues with messages on your service. We do not currently have any known or reported issues in this area. Are you still experiencing problems? Are there any issues with calls or data usage?
