The Moto Z Force has the new USB-C port. Is there an adapter available that will allow USB OTG devices with micro-USB plugs to work with the Moto Z? I took a chance on this one: http://https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FN09I7W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but it failed to accomplish anything. I have a USB inspection camera and a basic thumb drive, both with micro-USB connectors. Both worked fine with my Droid Ultra Razr. Neither was recognized when connected to the Moto Z Force through the adapter.

GKANES,
I can see how this is a great adapter to have. We do not offer this accessory. However, Iโm confident Motorola will be able to provide you with options. http://www.motorola.com/us/home

Unfortunately, no. I was not able to find any USB-C to Micro-USB adapters for sale on the Motorola site, nor was I able to locate any documentation indicating whether such an adapter would solve my problem. I am hoping that other members of these well-populated forums can share their experiences with various adapters and cords. I'm certain I'm not the only one with micro-USB OTG accessories wondering how to get them to work with a Moto Z or other USB-C equipped smartphone.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered an external SD card reader which came with the micro USB connection, so I ordered the adapter for usb-c. So far no luck. Motorola Z force does not recognize the device at all. I plugged the card reader into another Android device with the micro USB connection and it was detected automatically. I'm wondering if the usb-c supplies return power to non-powered devices? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

what adapters are you guys using? They are all not one in the same. Some of these adapters only supply power and no "connection" at all.

Have you tried pulling down the notification shade and checking to see if you need to change the USB connection?
