Moto z play

Have had my moto z play just over a month and it slipped out of my pocket and hit the ground shattering the screen.

The fall was about 2 feet off the ground. These moto z plays are delicate flowers and need to be wrapped in bubble wrap.

When did they start using crappy glass again. Thought they all switched to the tuff break proof stuff.

SRAR4, I regret to hear about your screen shattering. That is certainly frustrating. Do you recall if you have insurance on your phone? If so, you can file a claim very easily by calling Asurion directly at 888-881-2622, or online at: www.phoneclaim.com/verizon

I'm sorry to hear about your phone's display breaking. That said, while it seems the Moto Z Play does feature Gorilla Glass 3, no version of that product is unbreakable. The only unbreakable "shatter-proof" phones available are the Droid Turbo 2 and the Moto Z Force. However, those phones are susceptible to scratches on the display.

Hopefully you have insurance on your line, otherwise you'll need to contact Motorola to see what the repairs will cost (I think around $125).

Best of luck

Sorry for the delay in responding. Yes I do have insurance but Why do I want to drop another $100 on top of what I am paying for this phone to only get in return someone elses used broken phone. The whole idea behind replacing your old phone with a new one is to have a new phone not someone elses broken one that may or may not work right. Been through that mess before. These screens should not be this fragile. I have had lots phones and have dropped them all and non of them shattered on there first drop like this one did.

They are refurbished not broken. That's the terms of the insurance policy.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
