How do I get my notifications sound to work again
check settings/notifications & sounds.
Make sure that Do Not Disturb is on.
The notifications are certainly important, RICBOR14. Did you turn them OFF on your phone? What make/model device do you have? Are you currently receiving any notification sounds? Please elaborate to better assist you.

I have an SURE, Samsung, Verizon. Used to get notifications. Have tried everything. All notifications and sounds are on. Nothing is working. Please help/advise. Seriously have checked everything...settings, notifications, etc
