I got my wife a new Moto One 5G UW phone, and am willing to pay for a 1:1 tutor (via Skype) to help her learn more about the use and functions. This is intended to be a Christmas present.
Interested? email me (David) at [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]
TIA

I have a couple questions about using this phone.
One is with using the video camera. Lately when taking videos in adequate lighting the auto focus will randomly cut in and out without moving the phone or touching the screen. Video subject is not moving out of frame either. It happens on regular and zoom focus and diff video formats. It is ruining my videos. It is unfortunate because when it is in focus it is great, it just wont stay there. Any quick fixes?
Second thing. The audio quality is pretty bad using Spotify or Amazon HD on this phone. Compared to my 8yr old Moto Droid Razr its noticeably worse and I may be forced to go back to my old phone for music which would be inconvenient to say the least. Normally I would plug my Moto Razr via 3.5 analog cable to car or home audio and enjoy decent quality streaming music. Not the case with the Moto One 5g. I tried audio effects, wired 3.5 vs Usb C adaptor vs bluetooth etc etc. No reasonable change in SQ and actually made it so I do not enjoy listening to music at all using this phone. I am constantly saying to myself, omg that same song I’ve listened to 100x now sounds horrible and I have to just turn it off. Recently I noticed with the last automatic OS update there are now new Verizon sound settings/customizations available that were not there before. Not sure if this was rolled out in an effort to fix the low quality issues I had noticed. But what I have found using the Verizon settings is even worse sound quality. Can you give me some settings to try for using Spotify and playing wired usb C in car audio that I can try? I even tried external DAC’s and better quality cables trying to fix the sound with little improvement. The sound is scratchy, fuzzy, low quality even with dowloaded music using highest streaming settings. I have tried it in my car and home speaker systems and it is just unpleasant to listen to vs my old phone. TIA for any suggestions.

simpledoc,
Knowing how to use a great new phone is important to get the most out of it. While they aren't a one on one tutor, we have all kinds of user guides which can be a huge help to learning the new phone. You can find those at https://www.verizon.com/support/motorola-one-5g-uw/ . We're also glad to help answer any specific questions she has about the phone. I hope this helps.
