Saw a lot of reviews on other websites, all droid driven websites, lots of droid message boards out there and the reviews are pretty good. Now, I don't know what to do because I just found out about the stupid shared family plans.  If I take my upgrade my unlimited goes bye bye and my bill still increases $30 a month.

You will lose your unlimited on an upgrade, yes, but you do NOT have to take the Shared plans. You can switch to the tiered plan instead, and keep your calling minutes as they are. You have to do this over the phone or in store though, because VZW no longer offers these plans on the website. I was able to keep my plan on upgrade no problem but it was tiered to begin with.

Now that my second phone appears to be working fine, it's a great little phone. I always liked the small phones anyway, never cared for the big slates they are getting to be, so it was a nice punchy upgrade from my OG Dinc.

I have had my M for a week now and i must say its a definite upgrade from my droid X. It`s the right size for me. Unlike my X i haven`t had a single crash or required a reboot or even a lockup. The internals are the same as the upcoming maxx hd minus the screen. This phone for me has been butter smooth and the battery life just amazes me. It outlasts my droid x even with the extended battery. Like my Droid X the build quality feels and looks top notch. I have never used a screen protector or even a case on my X and i don`t plan on it with the M. Gorilla glass, Aluminum frame, Kevlar backing makes for a sturdy phone. I use the smart actions for different purposes setting different rules for home and work as well as others. When i get home it automatically switches to wifi and shuts off the 3g/4g data. As soon as i leave for work it switches wifi off and turns the data back on. I would always forget to turn  wifi on or off which caused an unnecessary drain on my battery due to no wifi at work. Motorola has already stated that the m would recieve jelly bean by years end which i believe will make an already great phone that much better. Its called a mid end phone but it has all the newest hardware of other selling top of the line phones without the top of the line price. Ive seen it on amazon for just $49.00.

I just got the M yesterday and so far I like it.  I've been looking and can't find how to put your own music as someone's ringtone.  It just shows android or zedge that i downloaded.  If anyone knows how to do it, I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Verizon manually reviews and approves each and every review.  Poor reviews are never posted.  Out of the hundreds of Razr M reviews that have been entered only 18 have been posted.  My review was not posted.  My comments about the poor battery life (3 hr), poor ring tones, poor users manual, and the non existent customer service got my review sorted out.
