I just bought a new MOTO G from Verizon. When I activated it my old MOTO Play was deactivated.
Is it OK to still use the deactivated MOTO Play?

ManchVegas, if the device is eligible, then we will be able to reactivate it for you to help provide service on the phone. So we can check, please send us a Private Note. JoseL_VZW

You could! But you'll have to jump through hoops. Sometimes it is easier just to start a new account. Less expensive also. New sim card may be required. Just look for Bring your own phone plans. Prepaid or Postpaid on the Verizon Wireless website.

Thanks. I just want to use the old phone once to check email chains that didn't transfer over. It only has 5 percent power left on it and it won't take a charge. That's the reason I bought a new one. It was either replace the battery for $70.00 or buy a new phone.

You can always use and old phone with wifi or to call 911 in an emergency without having service to it if that's what you mean.

Thanks. I just have in my mind that deactivating an old phone, activating your new phone and then going back to using your old deactivated phone, even one time, somehow throws a monkey wrench into the process.
Thankfully that doesn't seem to be the case. But I'm old enough to remember when you only had one corded phone in the kitchen. And nothing else. Lol. Gawd do I feel old!
