Verizon,

I want samsung pay. I have been a loyal verizon wireless customer for years, and this is unacceptable. All your competitors offer it, you need to compete.

I don't want to use google wallet, I want samsung pay.

Thanks to everyone that complained about Samsung Pay not being supported on Verizon . Verizon probably saw many of it's  customers switching to other carriers and now they have finally decided to support Samsung Pay. http://www.engadget.com/2015/10/06/verizon-i-can-haz-samsung-pay/

As I understand it...Samsung is offering a free wireless charger to customers who subscribe a credit card to samsung pay by October 10th.

If Verizon isn't supporting Samsung Pay by then.....will THEY give us a credit on our bills?

probably not.....but maybe....maybe Samsung will be nice and extend the same offer to Verizon sucker.....errr.... customers.

So is anybody from Verizon going to be kind enough to let us know when "the future" is? Or was that statement (and this thread consolidation) just a sad attempt to try to get your customers to shutup for the time being?

Any word on when Verizon will update the phones so we can use Samsung Pay? It's great that they announced that they will support it in a "future" update, without future being defined.. Is Verizon running for office?

Spoke with a representative today and he read me the standard blurb.... Available in future.... He pointed the finger at Samsung stating Samsug Is holding up the software update? Finger pointing 101....

I Keep checking with my brother in law.   He is using an unlocked international Samsung S6 on ATT.  While he has the 5.1.1 update, he doesn't yet have Samsung Pay.   I checked the Samsung website and while it says the S6 and S6 Edge will get it, it isn't ready yet.

THat tells me there are bugs in the software.

Carriers don't like bugs.

I Still post on ATT regularly, they have a Samsung thread.  The buzz on Samsung pay is non existent, I will see what happens if I stir the pot....

I'm sure I will use it as much as I use Google wallet now but at the places that are more convenient.  I have a friend who has it on Sprint he says it works pretty well. Just not on inserted slots.  Though, a lot of those have NFC soooooooo.  Yeah, it won't replace my wallet but will be more useful than a pure NFC solution.

6S and 6S Edge are older. Since they say it is coming that means it has the hardware. They will be programming it retroactively.  It wasn't ready when they were released so they have to build it now.   Note 5 and 6SEdge+ were released with a  beta build that could be activated.  It was developed with the phone and software.  Everything I have seen and heard is it works well on the right terminals.

International version may not get it for a while if ever.  It isn't exactly the same phone as the AT&T version so it may not get an update pushed from AT&T.

The international version gets updates straight from Samsung.   It will get Samsung pay before ATT S6.  Yes, they are older phones and Samsungs own site says they will not yet get samsung pay.

Oh straight from Samsung.  That is nice.

IT doesn't change much.

SAmsung doesn't provide release dates either.

Well no, and I kind of understand that.  I work on a software development team and giving dates to the public can be problematic.  However, coming straight from Samsung means they don't have to go through the extra QA and regression testing required by the carriers.

I check a few times a day to see if there is a download ready.  I doubt it will speed things up much but I want to get started as soon as I can playing with it to see it in action.

The problem is Samsung says it is up to Verizon and Verizon says it is up to Samsung to get the update out.  It should be noted that Samsung DID include it on the Verizon version of the phones but Verizon decided to remove it as it was a "Pre-Loaded" app.

Given Verizon's track record as it comes to updates (with a very few exceptions) that update will take at least two months to get out the door.  So don't expect anything prior to Christmas 2016 (not a misprint).

Is nobody else annoyed that Verizon hasn't said one word regarding Samsung Pay since they threw everyone into this bottomless pit they call a thread? Looks like all the angry customers already left Verizon. I guess I'm next to go...

I guess I am curious as to why this thread was started. As an "official Samsung Pay thread", I would think there would be input from "official Verizon employees". YOU started this thread 9 days ago with the above simple statement and there is NOT ONE SINGLE INPUT from ANY Verizon representative other than the above statement.

I was reading on another board that Chase and Verizon will be supporting S-pay in November, or at least that is the rumor.  Given that it takes Verizon at least 2 months to push an update, that sounds plausible. But I will not believe it until I see it.

Now that Verizon wants to increase my unlimited plan from $30 to $50 per month, other vendors are starting to look good.  ATT has some plans that the extra $20 could help cover additional data.  I currently use from 20-50GB per month so with roll over data and a 25GB or higher plan it could price out to what I am paying now (the wife has a shared minutes with 1k text and 2gb data)  I will have to re-run the figures, but it could be that ATT may be less, plus I could use International versions of phones on ATT. So a plus.

It is the pinnacle of poor customer service to create an 'official' samsung pay thread and then post nothing.  Verizon is 'officially' ignoring its customers and providing them with zero information and updates.  If Verizon management had half a brain cell working, they would have been ready to start Samsung Pay immediately when they finally made the decision to do so.  It shows a total disregard for customer service and their customers.  If they did not have the best cell coverage, they would quickly and continuously lose business with their current management practices and arrogant behavior toward their customers.
