For some reason my Oneplus 8 will revert to the default Verizon alert and the default Verizon ringtone after I have set all notifications and the ringtone to what the phone came with. It has happened many times now on it's own and everytime I go back and change it back to one of the phones ringtone and alerts I chose. Why is this happening?
Pretty bad to come to this community and not get any feedback to a problem. The question is; Why would my phone revert back to the verizon ringtone or verizon alert? This happens after the ringtone and alerts have been set to what the phone came with. This happens at anytime, it can happen during charging or just sitting locked this will happen. Any suggestions??
Try resetting the phone or contacting oneplus? That's all I can think of as I have never had that brand phone to know anything about it. Maybe try some android forums for that phone model to see if others are having this problem.
That is a terrible issue, billpl2309. The ringtone for your calls and other notifications shouldn't reset unless done in the settings. Are they changing from the default to a Verizon sound, or are they changing to the default sound?

They are defaulting to verizon sounds. Which is the verizon ringtone and alert.
I am so sorry to hear that your ringtones and notification are revering back to the default. Where did you get these tones from? Did anything change on the device when this issue began? - AlbertoR_VZW
The ringtones and alerts are what came with the phone, they came from Verizon, since it is a Oneplus that was configured by Verizon. Nothing that I can think changed on the device. I got the phone this past April and it has done this on and off since I have had it.
