Ordering A New Phone

Hi! I've had my HTC One M8 for about a year and a half. I had it charging about 45 minutes ago (using the original plug and cable) when it suddenly stopped. When I picked up the phone, the bottom of it was red-hot and had a burnt smell; I think that charging port shorted out. How, if possible, do I exchange this phone for a replacement? Thanks!
