Phone won't make or receive calls

I made a call yesterday about 1 pm.  This morning I tried to make a call and nothing happens.  I had my husband try to call me, and it goes straight to voicemail. I tried calling at our house, and also in 2 other locations around town, and same thing.  It shows "dialing" but nothing happens.  However, my voicemail comes through just fine.

I tried working through the chat help on my verizon.  None of the helps worked.  Then it said that it looked like there was an issue and I needed to talk with a representative.  Click here to do that, but when I click that, it takes me back to the same screen over and over.

Was able to get through yesterday with this issue myself. Was told there is I a network problem with several LG models. Was able to make a call last night but went down again this morning. Still unable to get through at the moment but I do have an open troubleshoot ticket open for the issue on my account from what I can tell.

I know the importance of being able to rely on your phone! Is the service still not working at this time? What happens when you attempt a call? -Yale

Having issues this morning here as well.  LG v40 user.

While chatting with support found a reddit thread:

https://www.reddit.com/r/verizon/comments/pdl8vt/i_work_authorized_verizon_retail_location_and/

The issue seems to be with the Google app.  Uninstalled all updates for it myself and able to make/receive calls again.

Support rep said to give 24-48 hours for a fix but not sure if that is just standard response.

jamieh2, keeping you connected with calls is a priority. Our goal is to provide a resolution the first time around, so your feedback will be used to improve. Thank you for the information, Tundras.

Please use the following steps to clear the issue: Settings>Apps & Notifications>App Info>Google >Three Dots (Upper Right)>Uninstall updates and then power your phone off and back on. Please let us know how it goes.
